Erica Chantel Pemberton, 16, of White Plains died on July 4, 2006
at the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
Erica was an aspiring student at Maurice J. McDonough High School.
She had completed her sophomore year with a 3.75 G.P.A., taking
two advanced placement classes. She loved tennis and was a member
of the J.V. Tennis team. She had also played field hockey her freshman
year and was a member of the woman's choir. She was looking forward
to her junior year where she had made the band's flag guard team and
was going to be taking 3 advanced placement courses.
Erica had recently started her first job at Famous Dave's as a hostess
and was looking forward to getting her drivers license next week. She also
enjoyed baking and especially loved her horse Penny. Erica was an avid
rider for seven years and rode in horse riding competitions.
Erica was born February 8, 1990 in Clinton, MD and was the daughter
of Eric William Pemberton and the late Sharyn Kae Berry. She is survived
by her sisters Cheyenne K. Cole, Tanya M. Taylor; brother, Brandon J. Anderson;
grandparents, Rheta D. Pemberton, William D. Pemberton, James Earl Berry,
Joy W. Berry, Earlene Johnson; Great grandmother, Grace Snyder; Aunts,
Cindy Goad, Deborah Gibson, Ruth Berry, Dawn Berry, Tina Berry;
uncles, Mark Berry and James Berry. She is also survived by many
other relatives and friends.
